Let's go, here we go! Right away with Lesson Two from Professor Sir Sebastian's lecture series! In my previous lecture, I dealt with the basic forms of our bodies. Today we're going to see how you choose the swimwear that will allow you to optimally put yourself in the sun on the beach.

Now that we see the sun gently squeak out again from time to time it starts to itch irrevocably: everyone is ready for a week of baking on a beach. It's an instinct: just when it's all about scary viruses everywhere, a carefree day of sunbathing is a prospect you'll live on. Can you see yourself lying there? Okay, then we're going to make sure you're lying there in the best matching swimwear so that all the other bathers will also like to see you lying down!

Today we take a closer look at three shapes: the pear silhouette, the apple and the classic hourglass shape.

Fruity pear shape

We talked about the 'pear shape': full hips and thighs with narrow shoulders. So nice curvy; especially if you put the right accents. We are going to downplay your hips and give your breasts more emphasis than your buttocks. The best match for that is a nice tankini: that sexy stripe bare belly draws attention away from your hip size. On the floor above, we're going to make your breasts more prominent: not necessarily by going topless, although I won't stop you, but with ruffles, bright prints, popping colours and other eye-catchers on your tankini top! Don't opt for shorts around your bum, because they will draw attention away from what makes your pear shape so fruity.

Oval apples

With a wide waist and nice slim legs you are more apple than pear: the oval body shape. That's beauty too, as long as you dress it right! The number 1 beachwear tip for oval apples is a strap or belt as a style detail for you swimsuit. By the way, a monokini can also work very well; these bath toppers emphasize your shape much better than most normal bikinis. Tankinis also make your belly look bigger, so don't use them. With a belt around your waist, you slim it down visually and put a smart point of attention in just the right place.

Prints and buildings

Your apple figure can come out very well with the right prints on your swimwear. It's important that you don't opt for a small print, but rather go for large, striking prints and dare to play with beautiful large colour areas in your favourite shades. It's also a good move for your oval appearance. swimsuit with a lined front. Style tips enough to quickly dive into the Dutch Designers Outlet range!

Hourglasses are beach runners

If you have the classic hourglass figure, with a little tact you can turn any beach upside down. Maybe you don't like your narrow waist and full curves, but if you look closely, you can see the glances gliding over your curves from behind your sunglasses... You're lucky, because with your figure all swimwear looks great. So make sure your swimsuit or monokini doesn't camouflage all that beauty with loud prints and all-over color explosions. Maybe you shouldn't wear shorts, because focusing on those buttocks of yours is almost a waste of all your other shapes. Balance is key here: make sure your top and bottom are in harmony, and all the elements of your silhouette will come out perfectly. If you really want to pop, I suggest the tankini collection. With that little piece of bare belly you pull the gaze to the center, giving your hips and breasts an even better ratio. Halters and triangles are also magical ingredients to emphasize the attractive lines of your hourglass figure even more.

...So late again! I feel like I'm just getting started, but I see I have to finish college already. We'll just continue next week with more beach knowledge and beach body know-how. Keep a close eye on those figures - I'll get back to you!
